Privacy in brief

Data, rights and complaints under the UK GDPR.

Data controller

The controller for the data on this site is a private individual who runs it on a non-commercial basis. Contact is through the site's form.

Use of cookies

The site uses only essential cookies. Advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), withdrawable at any time. Your browser settings also let you refuse cookies.

Rights under the UK GDPR

The UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 let you access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. Use the site's contact form to do so.

Changes

We update this policy if the law or the service changes. The current version on this site is the one in force.

Why your data is used

Your data is used only to run the site and reply to your messages. The basis is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, and consent where needed under Article 6(1)(a). We never sell or rent your data.

What is collected

Only the data needed to reply is collected: the name and email you give, an optional phone number, your message and technical data like your IP address. No special category data is requested.

Deletion

We keep data only while needed and then delete it, save where a legal duty applies. Access logs are kept only for a short time.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about how your data is handled, please contact us first through the site's contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the supervisory authority for the United Kingdom, at ico.org.uk.
